The Monday before the sportive at 6pm, you will receive a ‘Get Ready’ email which contains information about the sportive.
On Tuesday at 10am, you will receive an ‘Act Now’ email which contains the links you need to obtain your rider number and booking reference in order to complete the Pre-Event Questionnaire and Book a Time Slot.
Booking opens from 10am Tuesday until 18:00 Thursday. This is ESSENTIAL to ride.
It is vitally important that you remain subscribed to our emails. However, copies will also be uploaded to our FB page which you do not need a FB account to access.
No entries on the day.

It’s Time For a Change!
New Routes including The Cat & Fiddle from Maccelsfield.
A new HQ at Port Vale FC.
Velo29 took on the iconic Cheshire Cat in 2017 and have now delivered 9 Cats on the original Crewe based route.
It has always been a great event but we wanted to freshen things up and make it new and exciting for 2027, the TDF year!
We’ve moved the HQ to Port Vale FC, more parking, easier to get to.
The routes have been changed, we’ve kept the iconic Mow Cop of course and……the short route now goes up the infamous Mow Cop ramp. Thank us at the finish line :-)
Bidulph moor is still in for All Routes, we’ve got a new feed stop Gawsworth which is the first stop for all 3 routes.
Medium and Long head West after the feed and head up one of the most exciting new parts of the route, The Cat & Fiddle from Macclesfield! It’s one of the longest climbs around, wind can be a factor in March up there.
At the top Long splits off for an excellent new Long loop, mostly downhill to the new feed at Warslow. Then back up towards the top of The Cat & Fiddle before a descent back to Gawsworth for the final feed and then mostly flat back to Port Vale FC with a bit of a ramp at the end.
All routes finish back at Port Vale FC where riders will enjoy a FREE Erdinger. What’s not to love about this challenge? Can you take on the Cheshire Cat and succeed?
